Adirondack Fall Colors Overnight Retreat

Friday, October 27 to Saturday, October 28
Immerse yourself in all the colors, scents, sounds and textures of fall in the heart of the Adirondacks. Discover how engaging your senses intentionally with nature leads to relaxation, effortless mindfulness and a more intimate relationship with nature. This overnight retreat is an introduction to Forest Bathing, a wellness practice with more than 30 years of research that support its many health benefits, including reducing anxiety, stress and symptoms of depression, as well as boosting your immune system. No bathtubs or soap bars in the woods, but a bathing of your senses in the atmosphere of the forest. We will get acquainted around the campfire Friday night, followed by some storytelling. Saturday morning your will be guided on a Forest Bathing walk. After lunch, we’ll explore how to adapt elements of Forest Bathing for a home practice. We will close with a wild tea ceremony. Forest Bathing is done on a gentle terrain and is accessible to everyone. For more information about Forest Bathing, visit adirondackriverwalking.com or email Helene at info@adirondackriverwalking.com.
